Persian is the final result of the establishment of 2000 ha. of organic Persian Lime in Colombia for the world. Equilibria Agro is the head of a business integration that represents 14 productive stages. We were born with a call to export and will be, by 2025, one of the world's largest exporters of this fruit.
Our strategy is to sell directly to the retailers, following the trend of global main produce producers who deal directly without intermediaries taking advantage of high production quality and volume, and the timeliness and continuity of supply, which are inherent characteristics of our value proposition.
For this year production at our first planted stage is estimated at 96 tons. Consecutive stages will allow the following projection:

t Persian, work is based on two main premises: first, producing organic fruit, innocuous for consumption and with higher value at the national and international markets. To this end our plantations rely on cutting edge technology and expert teamwork. We are planting improved-quality citrus fruit that, through our own in-house developments in nutritional management, will produce all year round so as to guarantee continuous supply to our customers. Second, in our path towards our goal we have a positive impact on the Colombian farmland by offering stable and formal jobs. We create one job for every four hectares planted; this means that by 2022, we will have 700 people working directly which equals a positive impact on 3000 people when counting their families. In addition to bringing development to the regions where we are established, our company seeks to provide stability and well being to its workers.
We can proudly state that our goal is to join create a shared value model producing higher economic value for our country’s rural areas. Our motto is Shared Value understood as transformation of lives through farming. At Persian, our productive chain involves owners of farmland suitable for fruit production, investors who believe in innovative projects, seasoned exporters who guarantee our product abroad, and an administrative and operational team who delivers passionately and professionally.
We are fortunate to have a first-class Board of Directors which guides and directs our strategy. Its members are Sergio Saldarriaga Mesa, who has more than 25 years of experience as President of Kimberly-Clark for Brazil, Venezuela and the Caribbean, Manuel Julián Dávila Abondano, partner and president of Grupo Daabon since 2010, largest producer of sustainable organic oil palm in the world, and Beatriz Uribe Restrepo, who has wide knowledge of the Colombian mining sector and pioneered as president of the Board of Directors of ANDI (Colombian National Association of Industrialists).
With this initial introduction we would like to find international buyers for our produce. We will be present at Fruit Logistica Trade Show in Berlin from February 6 to 8. It would be of enormous value to arrange appointments and meetings with people with concrete intention of purchasing our produce. Additionally, from the 13 to the 16 of the same month, we will attend Biofach in Nuremberg, where we could also meet.
At Persian we look at the future with high hopes and firmly believe in teamwork supported by allies who see a similar panorama, who recognize opportunities and who feel a calling to transform lives, allies who make history and help to achieve goals and reach dreams.
We want you to partner with Persian!
Greetings,
JUAN PABLO DUQUE ARBELAEZ
